It has been said that both Flavio Briatore and Pat Symonds have both been offered immunity from any punishment in exchange for full disclosure of what happened.  Renault though still face the charges as they are levelled at the team not any individuals?  So we will have to wait till the 21st september for the outcome.

The result of the FIA inquary over Renault in paris today. The FIA have given them a  suspened 2 yr ban.
Briatore who also manages 4 other formula one  drivers  was given a life time ban from the sport.
Pat Symonds gets a 5 yr ban.  I think the only reson Renault got of so lightly is because they admited the charges. Also they are one of the main suppliers of engines to some teams.

The qualifying took place today of the Singapore GP. Lewis Hamilton took pole in a rebuilt car.  Jenson could only make 12th place, Barichello made 5th but got a 5 place penalty so starts in 10th.
Hamilton 1st, Vettol 2nd, Rosburgh 3rd and Webber 4th. So Vettol and Webber could catch up more points.

What a race Hiedfield had a 1 place penalty due to a ballast problam so button gained 1 place and started 11th.  2 safety cars helped Button out today as he came 5th.  Lewis Hamilton won from pole possition Glock was 2nd, Alonso 3rd, Vettol 4th, Button 5th, Barrichello 6th.
So jenson gains 1 point on his team mate but lost a point on Vettol. So Jenson on 84,
Barrichello on 69,
Vettol on 59
And Lewis on 37.  Only 3 races to go.

Jenson has only 14 point lead going into this weekends Brazilian GP over his team mate Barrichello and Vettol is a further 2 behind.
After the practise sessions today it was Alonso who was first fastest Barrichello 3rd  Button 5th and Vettol 7th Lewis Hamilton was 10th. We will have to see how it goes tomorrow at qualifying.

Is it an omen the weatherman for the track got hit by lightning?  The qualifying was held up in parts for 1 hr due to rain. Is it going to be a dry or safety car start?

Vettol must finish 1st or 2nd to keep his championship hopes alive. Where as Barrichello must score at liest 5 more points to keep his hopes alive.   Will Brawn win the constructors title at this race they have a 35 point lead over Red Bull.   Vettol (16th)  Hamilton ( 18th) both did not make it passed Q1.  Jenson blew it by not coming in to change to intermediate tyrs.  And could only qualify in 14th.

Barrichello the oldist driver in F1 got his first pole possition in 5 yrs?  So the front is 1st Barrichello, 2nd Webber, 3rd Sutil. So Jenson has it all to do.

HORAYYYY  at last after 40 years we have got a back to back
F1  World  Champion driver. Although Jenson could only come in 5th Barrichello and Vettol could not beat him on points now.

So as well as having a british driver we have also got a british constuctors title as well because Brawn have won that.

The result of the race was 1st Webber  only the second win this year by him.  2nd  Kubica   AND 3rd starting from 17th  so it show,s the lad has still got it.

See you in 2 weeks for the final race of the season.

It looks like next years British GP will be held at Silverstone instead of Donnington. That is if Silverstone will sign the same contract as Donnington should have.  But they could not raise the 135 million pound to get it set up.
Bernie Eccleston said he wants a British GP but he can not give a discount to britain even though half the constructors are based here. Next years British GP is to be held on july 11th the same day as the world cup final in South Africa.
This weekend see,s the last GP of the season. From Abu Dhabi it should be a good race in the desert. Even though all the titles have been won. It is the first time there?

It was the qualifying for the last race of the season today.
From Abu Dhabi 1st Lewis, 2nd Vettol, 3rd Webber, 4th Barrichello, and
5th was Jenson.
The race  for 5th is between Lewis 49 points and Riakkonan 48 points.  And it is between McLaren 71 points and Ferrari 70 points for the
5th possition in the constructors title.

It was the final race of the season and a bit of anticlimax
1st  Vettol,
2nd Webber,
3rd Button,
4th Barrichello.

Lewis had to retire after the 20th lap due to brake trouble. So with Raikkonan coming 12th the possition on the driver,s table is the same and Lewis is 5th.  With McLaren  and Ferrari not scoring any points it means McLaren is 3rd in the constructors table.
Alonso is going to drive for Ferrari next season.  And Jon Todd who used to be in charge of Ferrari has taken over from Max Mosley as boss of F1.

It was the last race of the season so its bye from me and bye from him. LOL   I hope you will join me in 133 days for the first race of the next season which is in Bahrain
